WEBSITE ACCESSIBILITY STATEMENT



We at The Inn On Third strive to ensure that our website is accessible to people with disabilities. We have invested a significant amount of time and resources to help ensure that our website is made easier to use and more accessible for people with disabilities, with the strong belief that every person has the right to live with dignity, equality, comfort and independence.


On every page of our website, you will find the  UserWay Website Accessibility Widget towards the top left corner, which is powered by a dedicated accessibility server. The software allows The Inn On Third to improve its compliance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0).

HOTEL ACCESSIBILITY STATEMENT 

The Inn On Third is a historic inn, built in 1937.


Despite the architectural challenges an old building like this pose, we are currently in the process of making our inn as accessible as possible.

We expect to offer limited wheelchair accessibility and have an accessible guest room available for reservation by the end of August 2019. Unfortunately, full wheelchair accessibility is not readily achievable at our property.
 



Our Inn will feature:


- a wheelchair ramp into our building
- a chair lift from the ground floor lobby to the ground floor hallway (3 steps) to provide 

   access to the accessible guest room. 
- staff assistance with lifting the wheelchair up and down the steps while guest is using chair lift
- an accessible dining table in our lobby which doubles as check-in table 
- staff assistance with accessing the breakfast and evening social buffet (40 inches tall)
- handicap accessible parking is available in the public garage across the street from our inn. 
  Please check in with us first, and we will issue you a garage pass key to use during your stay. 



The accessible guest room (1 queen size bed) will feature:


- widened doorway into guest room
- lowered peep hole
- door knock sensor with strobe light
- bed vibrating alarm clock
- hearing impaired smoke detector with strobe light
- remote control for the AC wall unit
- widened doorway into guest bathroom
- wall mounted sink with accessible hardware 
- lowered bathroom mirror
- grab bars at the toilet
- grab bars in the bathtub
- handheld shower head
- portable transfer bench for the bathtub 


Please be aware, that while a wheelchair will be able to enter the bathroom, it will not be able to maneuver around. This is due to the extremely small size of our guest room bathrooms. 
In order to allow for the appropriate clearances in the guest room, the dresser has been removed and appropriate shelving for storage of your personal items can be found in the closet. 
Due to the small size of our guest rooms, large motorized scooters/wheelchairs may not be able to maneuver around the guest room. 
We do not have onsite accessible parking, as we rent our parking from neighboring businesses. If you have any question in regards to parking, please feel free to call or email us.
